I own a 175 acres farm in Sterling, Massachusetts with a micro-herd of dairy cows for raw milk production, 500 laying hens, and a herd of goats for agritourism. I consider myself a “returning” (love that you use that word) 4th generation farmer. My family sold their multigeneration herd of dairy cows in the late 1990’s when I was very young. For the following two decades our land wasn’t actively used for food production. I graduated from college in 2017 with a degree in sustainable agriculture and a goal of reviving the family. 7 years later and I’ve surpassed all of the goals and dreams I could have ever imagined!
